The Turin Giants Bring In Ex- Italy Boss the Experienced Gaffer

The Old Lady have chosen previous Italian national team head coach Spalletti to take the helm for the remainder of the campaign.

Spalletti steps in for Igor Tudor, who was dismissed after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio last weekend.

Tudor had joined the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint at the end of an eight-match winless run.

Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

Nonetheless, Italy dismissed Spalletti in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, with the Azzurri at risk of missing out on a third consecutive World Cup.

Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla took interim charge of Juventus for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday which left them seventh in Serie A - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
